FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What size boat lift do I need?

Choose a boat lift rated for at least 20% more than your boat's total weight (including fuel, gear, and passengers). For example, a 4,000 lb boat should use at least a 5,000 lb capacity lift. Contact us at (888) 555-3625 for personalized sizing help.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! We offer free shipping on all orders over $2,500 within the contiguous United States. Boat lifts and dock systems ship via freight carrier.

How long does shipping take?

Most orders ship within 3-5 business days. Freight delivery typically takes an additional 5-7 business days, for a total of 8-12 business days from order to delivery.

Do I need professional installation?

While some handy homeowners install their own lifts, we recommend professional installation for safety and warranty purposes. We can recommend installers in your area.

What is the warranty on your products?

All products carry the full manufacturer warranty. Warranty terms vary by brand — ShoreMaster offers a 15-year structural warranty, ShoreStation offers a lifetime structural warranty, and other brands vary. Contact us for specific warranty details.

Can I use a boat lift in saltwater?

Yes, but we recommend aluminum construction for saltwater environments. ShoreMaster aluminum lifts and HydroHoist floating lifts are excellent saltwater choices. Galvanized steel lifts are better suited for freshwater.

What is a de-icer and do I need one?

A de-icer circulates warmer bottom water to the surface to prevent ice from forming around your dock and boat lift. If you live in a climate that freezes, a de-icer is essential to protect your waterfront investment.

Do you offer financing?

We accept all major credit cards and can provide quotes for large orders. Contact us to discuss payment options for your project.

Can I return a product?

Unused, undamaged products may be returned within 30 days. A restocking fee may apply for large items. Please see our Return Policy for full details.
